In occasione della bicifestazione di novembre 2009 ci fu anche un incontro alla sala a cupola della "Serra" dove, probabilmente ricordo male, però ricordo che l'assessore all'urbanistica di Ivrea disse che era già stata presa la decisione di rendere ciclabile il marciapiede del Lungodora. E parlava del marciapiede sul lato del fiume, non di quello sull'altro lato, dove ci sono ancora le tracce di una ciclabile istituita anni fa e quasi mai usata dai ciclisti perchè scomoda e con incroci pericolosi. Ricordo che in quell'occasione l'assessore disse che era solo in attesa della disponibilità dell'Ufficio Tecnico per piazzare l'apposita segnaletica e rendere quindi ufficialmente ciclabile il Lungodora.
Ebbene, l'altro giorno qualcuno mi ha detto che i cartelli sono finalmente stati messi, e quindi sono andato a vedere, contento di poter Lungodora finally walk the bike.
I would not give a disappointment, but unfortunately the reality that I found is very different: they have actually put up the signs, but they indicate that the Lungodora You can not go by bike, the bike is even more alone in the treatment of Cavour and ends near the pedestrian crossing traffic lights at the beginning of Corso Re Umberto (see the sign pictured at right). Here even a special new cars crossing sign indicates that, in addition to being pedestrian path is also (in the picture, sign on the left).
So it's not yet time to rejoice, there is still time to thank the administration public, although this small operation has not yet been done, and many cyclists will continue to suffer from the absence, on Lungodora, one better than the current cycle.
